What heat press temperature, time, and pressure should I use?
There is no universal setting that works perfectly for every heat press, as results can vary depending on the specific machine and materials used. As a general starting point, set the temperature between 320–325°F (160–163°C) and press for 9–15 seconds using maximum pressure. We recommend performing a few test presses to determine the optimal combination for your equipment, ensuring consistent, high-quality transfer results.
DTF Care & Washing Instructions
DTF-printed shirts last much longer when washed in cold water. Cold washing helps preserve the print, prevents fading, and reduces the risk of damage. Aim for temperatures below 30°C (86°F).
To keep your DTF garments in the best condition, follow these care guidelines:
- Turn the shirt inside out before washing: This minimizes friction on the design and helps protect the print.
- Use a mild detergent and avoid harsh chemicals: Strong detergents can weaken the fabric and the print; gentle formulas maintain longevity.
- Wash in cold water to preserve colors and print quality: Cold water helps prevent fading and color bleeding.
- Choose a gentle or delicate cycle: This reduces stress on both the fabric and the printed areas.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners: These products can break down the design and shorten the shirt’s lifespan.
- Do not tumble dry: The heat and motion can cause cracking or peeling. Air-drying is the safest method.
